GONIC - Joseph Cyr, 98, Gonic, died Monday September 28, 2015, at his home after a long illness with his granddaughter in law Nancy France and care taker friend Christine Cavarretta by his side.
Born February 19, 1917, Joe grew up in Vermont until moving to Conn., where he resided for more than 50 years. Joe served in the Marines and was a WWII vet. Joe was a contractor for many years. He enjoyed his boat, fishing and the time he had with his grandson Jef.
Surviving family are his granddaughter in law Nancy France, Gonic, N.H. He also leaves behind 4 great grand children and 2 great great grand children. His foster sister Jeannette Dubuque of White River Mountain Vt. Friends Gail Korth of Barrington, N.H., Theo Hughes of Richmond Va., Dave Bryant of Rochester, N.H. and Paul Otzel of Milford, Conn.
Predeceased by his wife Hazel, daughters Sylvia, Norma and grandson James (Jef) France.
