MILTON MILLS - The Milton Free Public Library Community Gardens were such a hit last summer we will be bringing them back this summer. Our fearless gardener (and assistant librarian) Allison is asking all who are interested in being part of the planning to join her Saturday, May 10 at 11AM for a fun garden club planning and pizza party.

The Friends of the Milton Free Public Library will be sponsoring our second annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 24 from 9:00 A.M till 1:00 P.M. We will be offering annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants houseplants, seeds and more. We will also be holding a raffle of various donated treasures. We will also be accepting donations of indoor and outdoor plants for this charity event.

The Friends of the Milton Free Public Library extend a big "Thank you" to Alexander Danner, MFA, for spending a day of exploring graphic novels with Nute Middle and High students.

Nute students learned the history of comics and graphic novels (cave drawings to manga) and participated in workshops on how to write their own. Mr Danner's presentation was made possible by a grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation's Small Community Grant to the Friends of the Milton Free Public Library. This grant also includes over 40 graphic novels- a collection curated by Mr Danner. Interested in discovering graphic novels for yourself? Drop by and borrow out a few from our collection.
