MILTON - The New Hampshire Farm Museum will present an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas on Saturday, complete with re-enactors, candle making and chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

Visitors can tour the beautifully decorated historic Jones Farmhouse with costumed role players, then warm up in the farmhouse kitchen with gingerbread and hot cider.

All will be invited to enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride (depending on the weather) through the fields with the team from Belgian Meadows Farm.

Children and adults will also be able to make a hand-dipped Christmas candle to take home, roast chestnuts and popcorn over the camp fire, and try the Christmas barn hunt.

The barns will be open for exploring and to meet the farm animals plus there will also be a blacksmith on hand.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cost is $10 adult, $5 child/ Museum members $6/$3.
