SOMERSWORTH, N.H. - A former city man who was named the Rochester Police Department's Most Wanted of the Week this morning in connection with a felony theft case last month was picked up today by Somersworth Police.

Michael Lee Rand, 29, with a last-known address of 10 Harvard St. Apt. A, was arrested by Somersworth officers around 9 a.m. and released on personal recognizance bail pending a November arraignment.

Rand is accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money from a Dover taxi company driver after calling for a ride from downtown Dover to a Chestnut Street, Rochester, address shortly after midnight on Sept. 9.

He allegedly grabbed money from the female driver at the end of the fare, said Rochester Police Capt. Gary Boudreau today.

The driver was not hurt in the incident.
