ROCHESTER - Donald Roger Beaudet, 78, passed away peacefully at the Hyder Family Hospice House after a long illness on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.
He was born September 28, 1936 in Berlin, N.H., the son of Herman and Simone (Poisson) Beaudet.
Donald served over 10 years in the N.H. National Guard, earning the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He went onto a career as a tool and die maker, retiring after almost 30 years with Janco/J-Pac. He enjoyed spending his free time with his wife of 52 years and his two children. He was passionate about woodworking. He designed and built unique pieces of furniture for family and friends. He and his wife enjoyed camping, cruising and traveling to different states. He was an avid hockey fan, but his heart belonged to the Boston Bruins.
He was predeceased by his parents as well as his brother Reverend Richard Beaudet O.M.I. and his sister Jeannine Astle.
He is survived by his loving wife Ann (Nolette) Beaudet, his daughter Karen Beaudet of Eliot, Maine, and his son Steven Beaudet of Attleboro, Mass., as well as his grandchildren Joshua, Jessica and Rebecca. He is also survived by his sister Jeannette Morin and her husband Phillip of Berlin, N.H. as well as his brother Raymond Beaudet and his wife Dorothy of Berlin.
