BEDFORD, N.H. - Dennis R. Belanger, 67, died on April 9, 2014, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack peacefully with his wife at his side.

He was born April 5, 1947, in Rochester, the son of Robert J. and Irene H. (Lamontagne) Belanger. He was a graduate of Spaulding High School '65 and New Hampshire College '69.

He was an insurance adjuster.

Dennis loved to fish and in 1986 he won the Best in Species Angling Sports Afield Award to catching a 17 lb. 35" lake trout in Squam Lake. He liked to hunt and be out in nature.

He was a member of the Queen City Pool League for many years as well as a member of the Workmen's Club, Club Canadian and the Deerhead Sportsman Club.

Dennis was known for his stories and sense of humor.

Beloved husband of 45 years to Ellen (Sibulkin) Belanger, loving father of Brian (Traci) Belanger of Manchester and Derrick (Abby) Belanger of CO, loving Pepere to Rhea and Phoebe. Also survived by his sister, Paula (Thomas) Gilbert of FL, nephews, Scott (Lorene) Gilbert and Dean (Rhonda) Gilbert, great nieces and nephews, his Aunt Jean Belanger and many cousins.
