ROCHESTER - Crystal Lyn (Thurston) Somers, 55, died on June 4, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born in Rochester on September 15, 1958, daughter of Richard M. and Judith A. Thurston. Crystal graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester, 1976.

She moved to Fla. In 81' and for the last 20 years she had been bartending at the Bonita Springs Moose club Chapter 1611. She met some wonderful people throughout her life and will be missed dearly.

Crystal was an amazing woman who loved her life and was always doing for others, her family, friends and even acquaintances.

Her passions were collecting seashells, laying out in the sun, her "must have" power naps and she enjoyed getting a good bargain at yard sales. Crystal was also known for her coffee we all like to call mud!

Survivors include her husband; Scott Somers, her daughter; Jamie Blaine Morrison, 5 beautiful grandchildren; Alex, Taylor, Ethan, Aidan, Lilliann, Crystal's mother; Judith Thurston, her 3 sisters; Lisa Hillsgrove (Thurston), Sheri Thurston and Jacqualine Stewart.
