ROCHESTER - A Barrington man was arrested earlier this month on charges of felony drug possession and transporting of a controlled drug as well as two counts of misdemeanor reckless conduct.

William Downs, 33, of 229 Smoke St., Barrington, N.H., was arrested Nov. 4, when as part of an undercover drug operation by the Strafford County Drug Task Force, he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and found to be in possession of illegal drugs, suspected to be heroin.

The reckless conduct charges stem from him having two small children in the car and exposed to these illegal drugs. Downs was given a December court and released on $5,000 personal recognizance.
