Bank of New Hampshire recently presented Special Olympics New Hampshire with a check in the amount of $1,000.
As part of Bank of New Hampshire’s “BNH Gives Back” campaign three New Hampshire non-profit organizations are featured each month through June 2014 on Bank of New Hampshire’s Facebook page and are then voted on by the public. The organization with the most votes at 5 p.m. on the last day of the month will receive a $1,000 donation.
Carrie Hill, Director of Development for Special Olympics New Hampshire, accepted the donation from Bank of New Hampshire's Donna Guimond, an assistant vice president and the Bedford branch Office Manager.
The donation will be used to support the 21 competitions in 14 Olympic-type sports that Special Olympics New Hampshire offers its athletes each year.
“We provide year round sports training and competition to over 5,608 participants of Special Olympics New Hampshire,” said Hill.  “The donation from Bank of New Hampshire will allow us to continue to offer quality competition and training to our participants.”
“As a community bank with 21 offices throughout New Hampshire, we are proud to support the communities we serve and assist in enriching the lives of its residents," said Vickie L. Routhier, a senior vice president and Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the bank. "We are pleased to support Special Olympics New Hampshire and the important work they do for our state."
To nominate a New Hampshire non-profit organization to be considered as one of the three featured on Facebook each month, stop into any of Bank of New Hampshire’s offices and fill out a nomination form.
