B&N book fair aids Rochester school, choral group

Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Newington, N.H., will hold an in store and online book fair to benefit both Granite State Choral Society and William Allen Elementary School in Rochester, on Friday from 5-7 p.m.

Volunteers will be passing out candy and stickers and there will be a Halloween Costume Contest for ages newborn to 12 with prizes for the Scariest, Best Overall, and Cutest costumes. Judging will be at 5:45 p.m.

GSCS asks that you help them help William Allen School's Library by purchasing a book from their Wish List. A portion of your purchase will benefit Granite State as well as allow them to directly donate those books purchased from the wish list to the school for use in the classroom and library. Vouchers are available at Barnes & Noble in Newington on October 31. You may also purchase books online from October 31 through November 5. Go to http://store-locator.barnesandnoble.com/store/2988. Now in its 40th season, the Granite State Choral Society is a nonauditioned community chorus dedicated to presenting quality choral performances, ranging in styles from classics to Broadway, and to promoting the appreciation of the choral arts. The members come from all walks of life from ages 12 and up, and range from experienced singers to novices just discovering the joys of choral singing. GSCS is a non-profit 501C3 organization.
