ROCHESTER - Andrew Charles Kimble, 58 of Rochester died on Monday, August 25, 2014, at the home of friend Forrest Perreault.

Andy was born December 29, 1955, in Rumford, Maine, the son of John R. and E. Barbara (Mattor) Kimble. He attended local schools and was a 1976 graduate of Portsmouth High School after having moved to the area at that time.

After serving in the Air Force he was employed at Tri City Dodge in Somersworth, and North East Painting in N. Berwick, Maine. He later became a self employed painter. He took great pride in his work and many homeowners in the area are witness to his talent. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

Andy loved his children and family and talked highly of them often with close friends. He was a "simple man" as his son Andrew Jr. puts it He enjoyed the basic things in life such as camping, canoeing, even paddling in the back yard once during a flood. He fed and listened to the birds, was a gardener and cloud watcher and enjoyed scenic rides. Andy enjoyed taking his kids to Milton falls to fish and feed the ducks and also enjoyed spending time at his family camp in Norway, Me. He had a smile that would light up a room and made friends wherever he went. He loved the Holidays, Halloween being his favorite. He loved to decorate to get a good scare out of the kids. A long time joker with a good sense of humor. He had a love for music and playing the drums. U2 being one of his favorite bands and memories of him drumming away to the beat of a song whether with his hands or sticks will always be remembered. He always tried to make the best of everything and put a smile on everyone's face. Andy will be forever missed by many, gone but NEVER forgotten. He was a kind hearted, gentle soul. RIP dad, you are loved Forever, For Always and No Matter What!
