MILTON ­- Jackilyn "Jacki" Patricia Lavoie-Staples, 61, of Farmington Road, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2014 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Born September 22, 1952 in Norfolk, VA, the daughter to LT. Commander Joseph E. Lavoie and Katherine M. (Connolly) Lavoie. She was raised in the Navy family and traveled around. She moved to MiltonVin 1985, coming from Brockton, MA.

Jacki had a bachelor's degree in accounting and received her master of psychology from Springfield College's Manchester, NH campus. She had worked in accounting at Liberty Mutual in Dover for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, going up north to Pittsburg, NH, and helping other people.

Survived by her mother: Katherine M. Lavoie of Milton, husband of 23 years: Wayne D. Staples of Milton, 3 children: Carolyn K. Lavoie and partner Owen of Dover, Douglas W. Staples and partner Ana of Farmington, Florence C. Whitten and Husband Alex of East Orange, NJ, 2 brothers: Joseph Lavoie of Milton and Robert Lavoie of W. Bridgewater, MA, 3 granddaughters: Emjay Clough of Milton, Victoria and Amber Whitten both of E. Orange, NJ, several Aunts, uncles, cousins and 1 niece and nephew. Predeceased by her father: LT Commander Joseph E. Lavoie, stepfather: Daniel C. DiBona, and her son Bryan.
